I would link to the article, I just read, but it was completely in German... (the only German seo blogger whose blog I read regularly blogged about it and considers it a very big problem for e-commerce in Germany - so I think it's not just one of those rumours) I'll update this thread once I have more information on this (should be the case soon, as a friend works in web analytics, here).

Hello! I am writing a class that extends HttpRequest class and stumbled on this small problem. My server has several (6) available outgoing ip addresses, and I know that I can set the option to use a specific address as outgoing ip (from which to send http request). This is one of the options that can be set in HttpRequest via setOptions() What I want my class to be able to do is to get ...

Hi, we have several domains serving same services, however, they have different contents but same ip address using shared hosting. Would it be better if we use different ips for each domain? How google and other search engines see this? Thank you for feedback.

Hi, I am developing an application with .Net Service bus and ACS. Previously the same application used to work behind the firewall after opening few outbound ports for certain IP address range, but now it doesn't work since the upgrade in Azure. Please let me know the new range of IP Addresses and Outbound ports to be opened for .Net Service bus and ACS to work from behind the firewall. Thanks...

Hi all, I need to connect to a customer of ours through a Site to Site VPN. Currently we have about 30 VPN tunnels to customers so we need to use public IP addresses instead of the internal ranges. We need to connect to one server only (coming from one server). The customer is using ISA 2004 and we have a Cisco ASA5510 which I'm quite familiar with. For other customers (using Cisco ...

Hello there I am new to System Center desktop imaging and deployment, i have come from an Altiris background. Our business network does not have a DHCP server, all our desktops use static IP addresses. I do have the documents for Desktop Deployment etc but like forums and discussing the ideas and methods rather than sifting lots of documents. Is it possible to pxe boot a PC with a specific ...

I'm following the instructions provided by: http://wikis.sun.com/display/chosug/Installing+a+L inux+Zone I have a Centos3 branded zone that boots OK. I've got networking active and can ssh into the zone from the global zone, and they can ping each other. But I'm stuck at the 'Configuring IP addresses translation' section because my OpenSolaris 5.11 machine (hosting both ...

I thought I had already done this in a previous project and also thought it was really easy but I am now struggling with this... All I want to do is get a list of all of the IP addresses that are assigned to the computer running my app. I thought I would use Net.NetworkInterface.GetAllNetworkInterfaces and then there would be a property on each item in that collection that told me the IPs ...

I have a Windows 2008 R2 server with SMTP. The server has 4 network cards, and three of these are Internet facing, and one is on the DMZ. We are transitioning from a Windows 2003 SMTP server to Windows Server 2008 R2. On the Windows 2003 machine, I was able to pick the two IP addresses (one external, one internal) for SMTP traffic, and ...

Hello, I have recently been asked to produce a list of ricoh printers with IP Addresses and Names. However this list is network wide which contains some 85+ sites spread across US, Canada and Hawaii. I know a scripting can be used to do this but i'm not very far into learning scripting so i guess i'm fall in the slightly before beginner on that scale. I have done some batch file scripting to...

Hi, My customer wants me to setup IPMP on a Solaris 9 host (V490 with add-on Quad Card) but has only supplied me with a single IP address per IPMP group. The server is up and running and networking seems to be fine, but when the server is booted, I get the error "configuring IPv4 interfaces: ce0 ce1 ce3ifconfig: SIOCGLIFADDR: ce4: Cannot assign requested address ce4ifconfig: SIOCGLIFADDR: ...

ah yeah, I read that part, but right before that it says this: 'This isn’t the first time German privacy protection officials have voiced their concerns about the Google Analytics service, as it had earlier criticized the search giant over keeping everyone ‘in the dark’ about which information they’re collecting exactly and how much identifiable data is sent to and stored on servers located ...

Kent is exactly right. One thing I'd like to stress is that this has nothing to do with ConfigMgr though; PXE is an industry standard and it is PXE that requires DHCP not ConfigMgr. This of course makes sense because how else would a system without an OS know its IP address. ConfigMgr provides a work around for this, but ultimately it is not a shortcoming of ConfigMgr.

Could you make sure that the nodes you want to install can be resolved to the desired IPs? For example, you can ping the nodename and make sure it targets to the correct IP and the old IPs never show up.

Thanks Osladil, That's all working fine thanks. I'm reluctant to change anything unless instructed ! I'm not sure why those instructions don't simply state: " If these files do not exist, create them "
