OH set up a pension a few years back with an IFA. He seemed very thorough, sent a long time discussing attitude to risk, disposable income, plans for the future, retirement needs etc etc. He set up the pension with (I think) two fo the main players (clerical Medical and Pru, I think) and the pension is invested in a variety of funds. At the time we were happy with the service. Now I'm...

I am 22 and after 12 months of service with my first company I now have the opportunity to select a pension scheme. After a meeting with an IFA (who is introduced to all employees at the company after this period) I wanted to get feedback on the pension type (although more specifically the fund). It is a Standard Life Group Personal Pension (1% charge per annum) and the fund I am investing...

I'm a higher level tax payer, and have a chunk of investments comprising various cash ISAs and some shares, which are intended to supplement my work pension in a few years time. My IFA has recently done a review of my 'portfolio' and is strongly recommending that I sign up with Vestra Wealth Management, as for a 1.5% annual fee, they will be able to maximise income and/or growth at a level of ...

They have stated publicly that the reality is far better than perception when it comes to the advice given by IFAs. IFAs currently account for under 3% of complaints at the FOS (only 1/3rd going on to be ...

Peter It's a membership site that will help mature people save money and/or supplemnt their pensions. We don't sell leads or lists and have a very strict privacy policy. We don't sell any kind of 'get-rich-quick' nonsense, in fact we don't sell anything at all other than items available through our shopping pages that we have researched as appropriate to our members. We are looking for a ...
