Why must mot's Intergrated Digital Enhanced Network infrastructure, AKA iDEN; get swept under the rug like a red headed step child. It had such potential, it was almost 3G with WiDEN, but that got shelved too. I'm disappointed, a faithful iDEN user, still have it today, 5 years, only to be discontinued.

this probably could have been placed under "other smartphones", but I figured it was more a mention about the next generation of phones (in this case a modern well spec'd Android), on iDEN... Motorola Opus One specification like the 8350i, it appears to be iDEN only for cellular. though it does have wi-fi too.

What is rumored to be the very first iDEN Android handset – the Motorola Opus One – has just gotten a long list of detailed specifications leaked. Nothing mind numbing: 3MP camera with flash, unfortunate 2.5mm headset jack, Wi-Fi, etc… bu tmake no mistake about it, Push To Talk technology is what will fuel [...] More...

Also Xpress (Urban ID 1962*) was able to cross talk to Bravo (Urban ID 1966*). http://www.xpress.jo/services/buttonpush/iptt.asp It now seems Grid (Urban ID 65*) from Singapore is able to IDC to Israel and Jordan. http://www.grid.net.sg/our_services...tional_PTT.h tml...

Well, it's been a crazy 2009. The year of prepaid unlimited. Boost Mobile started the prepaid unlimited war in January and it has continued unabated , raging continously for the last 12 months. Spurred by a poor economy and fierce competition, it has been quite a sight. Boost iden gained over 2 million customers for three successful quarters and practically singlehandedly ...

As far as pricing, we have to remember with Sprints History with Android so far, this phone will probably never become a Boost branded phone meaning it will probably be the most expensive phone in there line up or close to it. Granted the Android devices on sprint arent the most expensive in their line up but we do have to factor in that this is IDEN.
