I have a new-to-me 1986 Beneteau Idylle 15.5 which has just been repowered with a rebuilt Perkins 4-236. It has a Hurth HBW 360A transmission, which has been working to date. I believe when I first checked the trans fluid level, it was low and I had to add fluid. Today I went to check the trans fluid level again, and the fluid was milky. I purchased a used boat and in January I am going to bring the baot home for some maintenance. I have been able to aquire most information on the items I will be working on except on the Hurth transmission. I have not been able to locate one. Can anyone help with either a link or some other direction to head in? Thanks!!!

I have a '96 Mainship with Hurth HSW 630V Series transmissions. I just changed the fluids and would like to do the filters also. The filters are under the fill port and have the numbers "62 301 52 821" engraved on them. Anyone know where I can get new ones?

Crew I am re-engining my Roberts 36, most likely with a marinised Kubota V2203, and have the option of either a ZF Hurth HBW150 or a Twin Disc MG360. Do you have an opinion either way? I have heard that Hurth, now made in Italy, may not be the machine they used to be, but would really appreciate current experience either way on either box. Thanks. Bill

On this gearbox, with a different ratio for what they call position "A" and "B", can I choose what is now used as reverse to be forward, with a propeller for the opposite direction? Is it correct that this gearbox can be used for running in either direction, and some others needs forward to be forward?

For sale is my 1993 ZJ with the 318, Auto trans, and a Np 231 with a SYE kit and clocking ring. Power windows, and locks. Custom 3 link in the rear and a 4 link with a panhard bar up front. Clark hurth planetary axles both steering, 13.69:1 gear ratio, and with inboard wet disk brakes. Custom double bead lock h1 rims, with 39.5 x 15 x 16.5 super swampers. Winches and steel bumpers front and rear....

I ha juth burnt te ruth oghh my mouth eating a thlith og pittha. AND IT HURTH . I made enough topping for another one tomorrow. Haven't made the dough yet though and I guess I won't be now. Still, plenty of options to use up a nice tomato sauce.

I had the same gear hurth 360 in my trawler and the cooler died and then i lost the gear bx , i had it rebuilt and lost it again a few years later to a bad cooler- buy a good cooler and have it checked every few years - its gonna be hard to get parts for that gear ( I have an extra one if anyone needs it) after losing that gear i put in a new gear HD gear that was rated about twice as much as ...

Look at the ROTAX and HURTH engines made for ultra lightaircraft . Most are air cooled , but some are water cooled. Almost all are 2 stroke and really light. Most have 1000 hours before overhaul. FF
