The next generation of Humax Freesat set-top boxes, scheduled for launch next February, will be able to access the BBC iPlayer and ITV Player services from the outset, meaning that viewers will no longer be tethered to their PC screens when catching up with EastEnders and the like. This ability has long been predicted for the Freesat platform, which has since launch incorporated the necessary...

Would the Humax need to re encode the files to record in .mpeg format rather than .ts format? I'm not keen on the .ts format as it doesn't play well in VLC player unlike .mpeg formats. Is it a software or hardware issue?

Hi guys....good news the Humax sees my memory stick....bad news..... the on-screen message is that it's not formatted correctly and that it should be ext3 or FAT 16/32 Now, I have reformatted it on my pc and have tried all formatting options offered including FAT 32 and re-loaded some mp3 tracks and the same non-recognition message appears. Me again My Humax isn't 'seeing' my Creative Zen MP3 player when I connect it to the USB port. Having waited ages to get onto the helpline I was asked if it was FAT 32 (I think it is as my PC etc is) and told they would send me some extra necessary steps to follow via e-mail. The e-mail hasn't arrived and given my recent experience of their help, I'm not ...

I'm not coming to compare a pay TV service to a free one, but thought a look at the equipment might be of interest to some: Humax has full access to the whole 320gig hard disk - none of this Sky Anytime loading programs you don't or can't watch because you don't have the right Sky package. Hi there, i receNTLy got a Humax 9300T PVR. At the moment i am living in an apartment in Dublin with NTL cable, which has it's own decoder box. Is it possible to use the Humax in Dublin? Hi, I have just started to get green screens on the HDR with a HDMI connection to a Hitachi LCD TV. If I switch the box to standby and put it back on again, it works fine. Does anyone know whether this is more of a TV problem, or is Humax looking at this actively?...
