I took my son to the doctor last week and was amazed to find that he weighed 17 lbs, 8 oz and was 26 inches long at 11 weeks! He weighed 9 lbs, 5 oz and was 20.5 inches at birth. Everyone has been saying that he's bigger than most 6 month olds that they know. He's in 6 months clothes now. Anyone else have a behemoth for a child?

Hello all. On my ultrasound 3 weeks ago, the baby's head was measuring above the 95 percentile. Her body was measuring big too but not as big as that head. The tech said its fine and its better than a little head, haha. I'm just wondering if anyone else was told their baby has a big size head and how things turned out. Thanks!

I had an ultrasound yesterday because I was measuring 35cm at 32 weeks. They measured baby's body and said she is measuring at about 35-36 weeks. They also said that she is about 6 POUNDS! This puts her in the 95th percentile for weight. Whenever I go to my doctors office, I am faced with pictures and birth announcements of other patients. It amazes me that so many of those babies were, to me, HUGE! My son has gained 4 pounds in 8 weeks. But he's only 10 - 8 right now, maybe the 20th percentile? I can't remember. :P Strange how weight gain works. Better get some of your 3 - 6 month clothing out!

Yep, people have commented on my big BOOBS too! Will never understand why women want big boobs for! They just stick out, its a nightmare looking for bras or having to buy another one as months go by.
