Hello, New to this forum and just wanted to ask is my setup is normal, or damaging to my sound? (I've been recording for quite a while, using simple equipment, but have moved up a small step). I plug my guitar/mic into a mixer - thru a preamp first (tube mp studio) because my mixer's preamps are a bit noisy... so my first question is: is it ok to use a seperate preamp with a mixer ...
I own Home Studio 6 XL. I skipped Home Studio 7 XL because I didn't need an upgrade and decided to wait for Home Studio 8 XL. I know that the Home Studio line trails the Studio and Producer lines by several months, but hasn't Studio 8 been out for over a year now? What's happened to the Home Studio line? Is there a new version in the works? Jeff ...

Hi Forum, Can anyone advise me if Home Studio 2004 will run (import) current software like the different available voices in Zero G Vocaloid products. And what form of audio file should be imported - will wav and/or mp3 be accepted? I use Sibelius to write my music, but as Sibelius is not compatible with Vocaloid, I`m hoping to impot both into HS 2004 to enable me to edit ...

I want to build a set of studio monitors for a studio I am starting to slowly build up. I am not 100% sure on how things are worked with crossovers and such as right now I am just working with a surround type setup. I don't want to spend a lot, but I don't want to build a crap setup that won't be an upgrade. I would like to run tweeters, mids, and a 8 inch sub. What should I be looking at ...

I want to set up a photo studio in my basement because TONS of my clients want to continue shooting with me. I have a Canon Rebel xTi, I ...

I dunno, maybe try doing what you were doing at the sears portrait studio. Oh wait, that's pre-positioned lights and monkeys pushing buttons, not photography. I'm being serious now, check out Lighting 101 on the Strobist website for basically pretty much anything you need to know for beginner off-camera flash work. Here's a link. strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101....

Beagle it will probably run fine. there's not a big difference as far as programs compatibility running on win98 or winxp as there is between vista and anything prior to vista. if you had vista then I would say that it might not run correctly, but winxp it probably will. just try it! cheers beagle...
