I recently knackered my TomTom Go 530 by dropping it (Don't ask ) and as it cost £250 I thought it would be worth claiming on the home insurance even with the excess.....WRONG!!! Aparently it is classed as a "Motoring" accessory so this makes it void. Don't you just love insurance companies

I'm half way through a home insurance claim after a flood in my flat caused by a leak in the flat above. Buildings insurance has covered the damage and will eventually (hopefully) be paying me back for my 2 1/2 weeks in a hotel while repairs were carried out. At the time of the flood i had to take a day off work (as holiday) to recover property, and another day off to move into the hotel...

Hi, I'm shopping around for good value home insurance as my current one is too expensive. I've had a really cheap quote in Confused.com and it's this company called Quinn Direct. I've never heard of them, have any of you used them? The quote is a lot cheaper than any of their competitors for similar (although not identical) cover. I worry there might be a catch...
