u r rite from 87 to 2002 I do agree ford had nothin apart from the xr8 witch I think the xr6 were just as quick even today the fpv v8 still isnt is good as the hsv but ohh well lucky we have the f6 to make up for it :)the x serires they didnt bring much out apart from the gt and the esp and I think ford had a stronger motor back in the day then the holdens but anyway that's just wat I think :...

whilst i may agreee that holdens marketing is a little deceptive and regarding the 9.3L/100km combined figure - a little adventurous, i wouldn't go as far to say that the new engines = failure! they make pretty good power from a reasonably small volume and don't drink a lot of fuel in the process. the first test of the new commo's was done in a wheels mag, where the 3.0L did return ...
