We are arriving at the port at 7am sail again 6pm.Is it possible to go to Hoi An for the day? Will taxis be available if you walk off the wharf.How much would it cost to hire a car and driver for the day please? Reading other reports it appears Hoi An is a better destination than Hue or Danang?

We are not sure which hotel resort to select for our stay in Hoi An . We were thinking of staying at the Ha An Hotel but then someone recommended the Vinh Hung Resort and the Life Heritage Resort. Both have pools and great reviews. It is almost impossible to select one. Can anyone please HELP with the decision? Thanks!!!!

We would like to travel from Hoi An to Saigon through the coast line during New Year. What is the best way to see the beautiful coast with its towns? Is there a ferry line? Or is it better to rely on buses?

Hi, It depends about the budget you have. The Vinh Hung 1 is very nice, typical house of Hoi An with red lampion. The Ancient House 3 star charm is also very nice with a tropical garden. In agency you can find good prices.

We stayed there for 1 night in November and then promptly checked out. Three weeks previous their had been 70cm of water in the hotel and in much of Hoi An for that matter. As a result the rooms were moldy, smelly and in general disrepair. While I realize that typhoons/floods are out of the hotels control, I did not appreciate that the highest end room which I had prepaid on Agado.com for $55 ...

It's not easy for a tour company to organise your day trip because they would need special permit to be able to organise tour for you. It's better that you book with your cruise. From Chan May, it is nearer to visit Hue. Also, for just a day trip, Hue is a good choice. Hoian is good as well but it does not worth a quick visit. You will really enjoy Hoian only if you stay in Hoian.
