I really want to watch a film tonight, particularly something from my Hitchcock collection. I'm quite tired though so I want a film that will captivate me and keep me awake. I really fancy watching this, worth the watch? FG rating if you please?

I started attempting to choose my top 5 … but because Hitchcock has made so many brilliantly entertaining, sublime, classic, innovative and unsurpassed suspense thrillers … I found selecting just 5 virtually impossible … so I expanded the list to a top 10. My top two were relatively straightforward, but the next 8 were incredibly difficult to select and list in order and are interchangeable...

This story happened a while ago in Dublin , and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's true. John Bradford, a Dublin University student, was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a big storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few...

Discussions of "Psycho" invariably come down to two versions: Robert Bloch's 1959 novel(with fat bespectacled drunk Norman and Mary Crane beheaded in the shower) and the Hitchcock film from Joseph Stefano's screenplay(with handsome young Norman and a stylized shower stabbing.) But there was one version of "Psycho" IN BETWEEN the Bloch and the Stefano: Bloch's novel came out in April of ...

Well, folks, there is a new "Psycho" book on the market...is "Psycho" possibly the most written-about movie of all time? (Not just here..) It is by David Thomson and it is called in full: "The Moment of Psycho: How Alfred Hitchcock Taught America to Love Murder." It is a slender 183 pages(about 167 of text), with a full index to what is essentially one writer's essay about "Psycho." There...
