Hasan Saltuk: Historians here cannot go beyond the official ideology; they do not do any research. Those who do research and know the truth cannot raise a voice because they are afraid. Because historians do not have the intellectual courage to go beyond the ideology created and imposed on Turkiye by the imperial neo- Ottoman pashas of Turkiye. Soldiers, who participated in ...

I've been discussing with several people the possibility of developing an event database program that would be useful for researchers in all branches of history, indluding family history, and genealogy and biography. More details on my blog here: hayesgreene.wordpress.com/2009/11/26/370/ Is anyone else interested?

Would you please list where you think Capatina and Palazeti rank in terms of all time CC running back tandems? I'm guessing top three, but my historical perspective does not reach back as far as many of yours. There was Kava and Rogowski. Maybe Brooks and Banaczak (spelling) It's be REALLY cool if you could build a case for your picks, and if you had some stats. Thanks

We bought a sheet of 20ga cold rolled to match the body, and when I found out how good he is at forming panels I bought a planishing hammer (with some prodding I bet he'll show pics ) Anyway, we're on the lookout for 460 zoomies. The problem I present to ya'll is the compression ...

that the best game of the day would be Pitt and Cincinnati and not Alabama and Florida. The only people that could have made that Alabama game close to the last minute, were civil war historians. (kept the confederacy in the war until 1865) Feel sorry for the diehard Florida fans at the Georgia Dome. After the defeat, they had to go face the frigid cold in Atlanta. Not a nice thing ...

Radical SPLC campaigns against Polish Catholic on DC Holocaust Museum Board. Quote: When other historians suggest that Catholic Polish nationalists killed Jews during and after WWII, Chodakiewicz agrees. He has even written books about it. However, Chodakiewicz points out that the Jews killed by Polish nationalists were mostly Soviet backed guerrilla fighters. ...

Quote: Long viewed as a wild-eyed abolitionist whose failed raid on the federal armory in Harpers Ferry, Va., hastened the Civil War, John Brown's reputation is no longer "a-mouldering in the grave." Indeed, the former wool merchant in Springfield is increasingly seen by historians as a selfless martyr who was so moved by the brutal injustice of ...

Because despite what some idiot revisionist historians from the former Confederate states say the Civil War was not a war of northern aggression. Republicans excepted, historians tend to notice that Richard Nixon, as U. S. President, was not always "Perfectly Clear:" Probably especially when discussing his own mother. . . ., or possibly the dining table utensils. In 1970, he was actually more audible. "I am tonight announcing plans for the withdrawal of an addtional 150,000 American troops to be completed during the Spring of Next ...
