I have a Trojan Hijacking my DNS settings ( 85.255.x.x). My friend told me to run "Error-Fix" to fix the problem. This made changes to the registry, and now I can't access any web site. How do I fix this new issue ? Thank you. Dummy09

Anyone else experienced this? I was a trifle miffed, to say the least. I don't mind being capped, having an email sent that says so, etc, but hijacking my web browser is simply not cricket.

Hi, You've probably seen this issue a 100 times before, but no matter what I have done I keep having multiple IE windows opening (at the time of writing 10 have opened so far). I have run AVG, Windows and Malware removal and still nothing. Consequently, I transitioned to running Hijackthis and it has pulled the text below. Please,...

Most of the sites today (including asp.net) run on http, using https only for the logon process. During login, the username/password are securely transferred across web using https, and appropriate authetication cookies are sent to the client. Yesterday AVG detected a virus, generic15.bpbt. I immediately got rid of it, and scanned again, and AVG came up clear. But my browser is still getting hijacked and sent to random sites. Everything I've checked has come up clean, AVG, Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, cwshredder, etc. So I have no idea what to do now, or which things to get rid of in Hijackthis. Oh, I'm running XP and I don't have access...

Steam Gifts and Account Safety I know that Steam Gifting is one of the most abused social engineering techniques employed for account hijacking. Not only are promises of free games usually just attempts to steal your account, but even if legit I've heard there might be a way for gifts to compromise your Steam account (i.e. If you are gifted ...
