I purchased a DV5 1110em about 6-8 months ago, and whilst I have always found it gets quite warm, I have never had any significant issues.   However, having noticed the level of noise the fan was making (whether this has only increased recently or I only noticed recently i'm not sure), I decided to check the temperature (in this case using SpeenFan 4.40).   The temperature was in ...

I have a MK2 2000 1.2 elx a few weeks ago the whining noise started intermitently occuring a couple of occasions for a short period but recently the noise has been alot more frequent starting after a couple minutes of running and pretty much constant, along with this the temperature gauge keeps going all the way up to the top and then back down to the average when the engine isnt anywhere near ...

Hi all. I have just purchased the N0503 combo NAS & was setting it up with 3 x 1TB WD disks in Raid-5. Whilst it was building the RAID which took about 4 hours it shut down twice to prevent the CPU from overheating which was around the 70 to 75 deg. C mark. The fan is spinning at 1450 RPM, my office is air conditioned & it's out in the open. Needless to say I'm a little worried about this....

Hello there, recently I installed HWMonitor just to check my system's temps. And what I saw was shocking, there was a temperature of 79 degrees Celsius (and it's still there). Here is a picture to make you understand: So which component could have such high temperature? Judging from another screen of an Intel system, it could be the chipset, but you may know more, so please help....

Hello to eveyone, My 2001 Vw jetta can't cool down his temperature. When I start the engine (when totally cold), it runs normally until it gets 90 degrees, stay at this temperature for about 30 to 45mns and then starts to over heat at 95, 100 5o 110 degrees when I accelerate (but never gets the red line). I cheked the coolant, there is no leak, I cheked the fans, they run perfectly at the ...

I think some people only use gpu-z after finding out their GPU overheated and have to send back (or pay) for the Service Enhancment..etc. Is it possible to add a popup like other 'hardware monitors programs' that will warn you when a certain temperature is reached? thanks

Just few days back i had installed a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 in order to replace my "old" E6750 CPU. I would like to overclock my CPU to at LEAST 3.2GHz. I am also using a Schythe Katana 2 heatsink and Noctua thermal paste. On the old CPU, using Everest I would get about 35 C as idle temperature and about 50-60 C at full load. With the Q9550 I get about 60 C as idle temperature and at ...
