My scores/ECs/rank are all fine (2390/1600 on my SAT), I have a decent essay and great teacher/counselor recs. But I've attended three different high schools in the past four years - my parents pulled me out of public school in the middle of my freshman year and transferred me to a small Christian school, and switched me to a larger Catholic school at the beginning of my sophomore year. I've done...

I was looking at the Naviance scattergrams and was wondering, do colleges let high schools know if a student is accepted/rejected/Deferred etc? My registrar enters the colleges we apply to and there are four columns. The first three are empty and for the Results, it says "Unknown" My Application | WL | Defer | Results So ya, I was just wondering

Greetings, Add me to list of "moving to Portland" people. Been following this forum forum for a couple of weeks, and it seems like there are quite a few folks moving to this area. I am likely moving the first or second week of January, and yes I have a job, being transferred with my current company into a higher position. Work will be in the Northeast, very close to the River, and I dont...

I am in the process of planning a relo from CT to Georgia. Any insight into the school systems in the Savannah area would be greatly appreciated. I would hope to avoid private (only because of cost factor). I would like to be as close to the coast as possible and south of Savannah. Thanks for all the input.

It was required reading in both East High School in Anchorage ,Alaska, and Caribou High School in Caribou, Maine, and I believe it is all around the country. I just have to ask why? Its not a very good book in terms of actual reading (its required in English classes). The author is about as biased on the subject as can be, the experiment is in many ways flawed (not to mention she breaks her own ...

My ex-husband was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. He never had a period of taking medication even ONCE in the 13 years I have known him. His new wife might think I am making it up but he does deal with his disorder by focusing on abusing me and nothing else. Sad but true. Many people deny having a problem and getting REAL help for it.

My son was approached by a teacher at the high school who congratulated him on his ED acceptance. My son hadn't told anyone about it, so he asked the teacher how he knew and the teacher said there was a list in the counseling office of students' acceptances. I dunno how that list came to be. In fact, since my son applied as a homeschooler (he took a few classes at the high school, and ...
