I use the pre-made raw diets, but am trying to find something higher in fiber. I usually use Nature's Variety or Bravo, but Thelma has a problem with constipation. She is only having a bowel movement every other day. The other dogs have no trouble with the raw food I feed, but I need a raw food or high quality kibble that is high in fiber. Anybody know of any? I prefer grain-free and raw, but I ...

I like to eat cereal. I grew up with it during the week before school and eating 'real' breakfast on the weekend. Now that I'm on WW, I've been looking carefully at the nutritional information. Let's just say it's been a real eye opening experience. So here I am with the points calculator in Jewels looking at the cereals - and of course I get the hot guy...

This is a great website for getting the fiber that you need in order to be regular. This site is for adults, but using for kids under 10 you will want to use the following rule: 10g + child's age So, if your child is 8, they will need 18g of fiber in their diet. The chart on the website is ranked from the highest fiber foods to the lowest fiber foods.

I have been really constipated and trying to add more fiber in my diet... this has been the best thing I have tried yet. Thought I would share... should have plenty of fiber. I mixed granola cereal, dried fruit (cranberries, apricots and tropical fruit), walnuts, and sliced fresh apples. I topped it with fiber one strawberry yogurt. The mixture tasted great together and I think ill be ...

Two of my cats also have problems with the premade. One, fortunately, is good with real meat, so I seldom feed him the premade anyway (actually I use it when he's having diarrhea!). The other won't eat all meat, so I mix the premade with ground beef and her old canned food. Unfortunately that prolongs the transition to all-raw, but it works by lowering the percentage of bone in the overall ...

What in the world is "soluble corn fiber?" I have an aversion to fiber-added processed foods. Homemade vegetable based soups are naturally high fiber. I don't need a food company adding 'soluble corn fiber' for me. (Now, if they wanted to add "corn," that's another matter). But to each his own; I'm just taking this opportunity to vent about ...

That is my point exactly, everytime you have a change in diet it will affect your GI tract as in the Atkins Diet which was high in protein and fat, not many whole grains allowed. That is why I no longer take a stimulant of any kind and maintain fiber from nature.

If you have a snow cone maker or ice grinder this is a delicious and different way of getting your fiber if you take metamucil. 1. Grind Ice down 2. Sprinkle powder over ice 3. Mix it into ice with spoon 4. Enjoy! This may also work with other supplement you have that are in powder form and come with a fruit flavor. You could try vanilla or chocolate, but I am not to sure how ...
