Yesterday I was minding my own business waiting for lunch to be served. Since that was at least one hour away, I took my wife's car to get it gassed up, etc. I then wandered over to a local gunshop. In the case they had a new blue COLT Ser. 70 for $1045 and Glocks for $599-699 depending on caliber, etc. What really got my attention was a 1911-A1 type pistol that at first glance...

I have a High Standard Flite King in 12 ga 2 3/4" with an 18 1/2" barrel, that belonged to my father for many years. My question is will Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 accessories work on my high standard. The only thing I would like to add is a set of ghost ring sight and a mag extension. The shotgun has sentimental value and I would like to make it my truck gun.

And one nagging question I have is what TVs do a good job up converting standard definition to high definition? My wife has a lot of VHS tapes which she still watches (ice skating....), so I'm wondering what plasma would make them not look blocky and such ...

Flite King came in to the FFL's shop on FRiday. We were all struck at the quality and feel. In my opinion a step down from the Model 12, but not far. One person in the shop noticed the milled receiver. The gunsmith said I should never remove the trigger grouip, ever, because a spring makes it hard to replace. I feel fortunate to have found such a fine piece of American workmanship and ...

> Both are fairly early, 1953 & 1955. Anytime your buying 50+ year old target pistols with a unknown round count your taking a chance. Unless your getting a screaming BIL kind of a deal, don't buy them until you can test fire them and give them a very through internal inspection. Some of the older H-S target pistols had problems with the frame cracking at stress points...
