It is my understanding that when I backup using Norton Ghost the hidden files also get backed up. If I ado a manual backup of My Documents folder it aks if I want to include hidden files. I assume I should do this. If I back up individual documents manually, I am not asked this question. Sometimes I get a message ...

I'm trying to change the folder view to "view hidden files" in WindowsXP In Windows Explorer, I select 'Tools', 'Folder Options', 'View' tab... when I click 'Show Hidden Files', 'Ok', it appears to change the view, but the view does not show any hidden files. I connect my Iomega external HDD to my MBP that runs snow leopard. I noticed whenever i delete any files from any jump drive, thumb drive, external HDD it doesn't vanish from the drive but instead it stays hidden and still takes up space. Thanks Rich, but yes I have already checked the box for sending immed. and I also have checked my AV to make sure that it was not scanning my email, in or out.
