In Oct 08 I had gone in for a hernia repair. The hernia was located about 3/4 inch above my belly button. the surgery went fine and I went home the same day. He said I might have some pain for the next few weeks while it healed. But it may take a couple of months. For the next few months I was still in the same pain as I was before the surgery. I went back in to see him 4 months after the ...

Two years ago I perforated a bowel due to undiagnosed diverticulits. I had a colostomy Colostomy Colostomy - series which was reversed 6 months later. Next came an incisional and stoma site hernia which was repaired (gortex mesh) 9 months ago. I am 43 years old and a former Physical Fitness Professional in the Canadian Forces. I would like to resume exercising which in...

My little girl Lola is being spayed today, and also having an inguinal hernia repair. She'll be having her surgery at 9 this morning, and spending at least 1 night in the hospital. I am working on staying busy and positive. She's healthy, has had all her pre-op work done, and the vets feel she'll do well. We had a bad experience when Toby was neutered 2 years ago and this is our first time ...

I had abdominal surgery on 9/16. I have sharp pain all around my belly button. I saw my dr. last on 11/17, and he said I don't have an incisional hernia. He didn't say anything else because I told him our conversation was off the record because at this time I don't have insurance. The incision starts below my belly button. The pain I have is sharp, and is all around my belly button. I...

My brother is looking into adding a cat into his family and contacted a breeder. The breeder has one loving male kitten looking for a home. However, this kitten currently has an umbilical hernia that the breeder will repair at their cost prior to releasing him to his new home. We're wondering - after the hernia is fixed, are there still any health concerns? Will this kitten be more prone to ...
