Hi all, This morning I switched on my Dell 8400 computer and heard a loud whirring, like a fan just spinning getting faster and faster and louder and louder, anyway I looked at the design spec for the machine and can hear it coming from just below where you plug the power cord into.  I think its the heat sink and blower assembly.  Any advice on what to do would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a Cadco 1/4 size 120 V convection oven similar to this model that I am not using right now.  Mine is used and I had bought it with other equipment. http://www.dvorsons.com/Cadco/CadcoConvection.htm I was reading other topics about why a convection oven isn't the best thing to bake pizzas in.  I since have read about a patent that a man came up with about using a metal plate and...

I need a heat sink for the 40A Auberins SSR I just bought. I'm trying to avoid paying $10 to ship an $18 heat sink. Could I use a computer fan or heat sink out of an old computer I have laying around to cool it? Could I avoid cooling it all together if I left it out of the control box (running a 5500 watt element @ 240V). I also have to make a run to the local McMaster warehouse this ...

I finally received my generic backplate for my HP OEM heatsink that I bought This and I was planing on using AS5 (VS The stock TIM as it was not covered and damaged anyway)any way but does it matter which way the fan goes? I am using a CM690 case and I was planning on having the fan face the rear exhaust fan Is this the right way to do it in this case or does it not matter? The LGA 775 ...

Hey everybody. I need to order up my tranny cooler and hydro steering cooler and want to know which is best. My rig specs are in sig and want a cooler that is going to keep my tranny and steering nice and cool after a day at the Hammers. AM2 uses a mounting clip not a bracket. Your heat sink should've come with a one piece clip that secures the HSF to the standard AMD bracket around the CPU. The brackets that come with the SpinQ are for Intel boards. Or If it is the motherboard retention bracket that is bad, here is a site to get a new one... http://www.xsfans.com/index.php?ma [...] cts_id=590

OIC> I have a relatively small nose. I've also had surgery and the poor thing has been reamed out a couple of times, broken, etc. It seems that if I can warm up my nose with very warm saline it helps the migraine. Strange to put salt water up your nose for a headache, but I've about reached the limit on the amount of pain meds I want to take. I HATE that drugged feeling...I can't imagine ...
