I've noticed that my maximum heart rate has been way higher just recently than it ever has. Is it something I need to keep an eye on? Up to about a month ago, max HR would have been about 150 with the average rate 15-20 below this, but the last half dozen runs have been over 200 with average about 160. I tend to peak in the first 5 mins, although I'm not struggling at all with my running ...

THe problem is that i have no clue or experience on these things, and i was wondering if there are any of on this forum that has experience with them I would like to know which is the most accurate, reliable, battery life, and most importantly, the price range of these things....

Hi there, I was working out today when I noticed something odd. On the ellipticals at my gym, you grip these sensors and they display your heart rate. I was chugging along, feeling pretty good, when I noticed my heart rate was oddly low. Soon after, the machine said it couldn't pick it up at all. I stopped and felt my pulse- it seemed to feel ok, but I was too unnerved to keep going. ...

hey everyone! ive trained in the past using a cheapo ebay'd HRM, which not surprisingly broke quickly. i found it very useful whilst it lasted though. now that im looking to spend a bit more, can any recommend a good HRM? is there anything 'rowing specific' that i could look at, or anything that has features that are good for us rowers? the ones ive viewed seemed to have GPS, which i guess ...

Hi all, Quite a few of you probably recall the "Sports Edition" N79 that was packaged with a Polar-produced BT Heart Rate Monitor (HRM). If that was an interesting prospect to you, then you'll also recall being disappointed that its never been available for sale individually. I just thought I would post this up because it turns out that eCoach for the N900 is compatible with the Zephyr...

Heart Rate of the Undead? Ok, forgive me, I've been reading a lot of vampire novels lately, lol. Anyone seen New Moon in early showing yet? Well, anywho, I'm a little concerned about my heart rate monitor. It used to register anywhere from the 60's -80's when I first turn it on. Lite cardio was 116 to more vigourous Leslie ...

Hi All, Can I ask if you remember what your LO 's heart rate was from the first scan. I think mine was 162 which I think is quite high, not sure though ?!?!? Reluctant to google this incase it says it is bad. We are having a fetal heart scan next week anyway as the NT measurement was high for 12wks, but I was just wondering. Thanks

Hi there, I just bought myself a Garmin forerunner 305 so I started monitoring my heart rate during runs, etc. The thing is that I'm 24, about 10st and 5'8, and when running (eg. an everyday training 5mile) my heart rate goes really high...I'm always around 190 bpm and the watch keeps telling me to stop or I'll die (not that dramatic but it tells me to stop...). I always push as much as I ...

When I start my Edge and put on my heart rate monitor strap it can take up to 45 minutes for the device to start registering heart rate. I "restart scan" in the device and it doesn't speed it up at all, there are no other devices around that would interfere w/the communication between the two, the batteries are new in the strap. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions anyone has.

~45. Even when working out it's low. I'll go flat out on a tread mill and it will only get to 140ish. I've always had a lot of endurance....I could go do a 100mi bike ride when ever I want. Just had a huge cup of coffee and a pack of Animal Cuts and its up to 55.
