The 1989 C900i passed its MOT but there was an advisory on both headlamps, it went like this: "Nearside headlamp not in good working order but not adversely affecting beam image." and the same for the Offisde. About six weeks ago my left headlamp didn't come on when I went to drive at night. I tolerated it for a couple days... sometimes it would come on when I turned my headlamps on, sometimes it wouldn't, was really hit and miss. After 3 days it just wouldn't come on anymore so I took the bumper off and took the headlamp out and inspected it, everything looked good so I put it back in and it worked. ...
Hi Folks-- I have found that the regular low beams are not throwing nearly as much light as the more modern headlamps on my other cars. Is there a potential issue with the headlamps? Has anyone replaced their headlamps with modern "white" halogen equivalents? Thanks

1 pair of Chevy Twilite headlamps in pretty good condition. No cracks in the lenses and the stands are in good condition. Reflectors need resilvering and the usual minor dings to the bucket and ring. PayPal or MO. $90 + shipping. Thanks -Erik

Has anybody tried to upgrade the dipped headlamps of their new W204 C Class? I am finding that the lights on this car inferior to my 203 which gave a good spread to the nearside as well as ahead and would be glad to hear if anybody has upgraded the standard bulbs to something better. Motorists coming towards me are always flashing me, I presume my headlamps are blinding them. I had them checked by local MOT station and within spec for MOT. Does anyone else have this problem, I'm guessing its just large and powerfull headlamps? Phil

Are the W201 Euro headlamps all the same from 1982 to 1993? I have an 1987 190 and found a set from an 1985 190e. If they aren't the same what are the differences from year to year?

How do you clean the inside of the headlamp lense on the 2006+ Jetta? Do you just remove the high beam lamp and shove in a cloth and wipe? Or something more complicated?

Hi Chaps, I have a problem with one of my (o/s) headlamps, the alignment is too high. I have had it adjusted and it has reverted back to being too high again. Can anyone help with DIY adjusment. I want to adjust it myself and am not sure if this is possible? Thanks.

I changed both headlamps as the driver headlamp is always dim, then finally went out. After replacing the bulbs again, the driver headlamp is dim, it appears as if its running at 25%, but the passenger is fine. I replaced the fuses as I'm pretty sure the fuses were original to the car, and changing fuses remedied my intermittent turn signal/outside temp display issues a few months back....

A little confused about the correct HID bulb in my '07 coupe. It has projector type headlamps so I assumed replacement bulbs would be the D2S type. But the actual 2007 service manual says D2R (35 watts). I thought the D2R went into the older reflector style housings?? And anyone know the stock OEM bulb manufacturer? I believe stock is 4300k color temp.
