I am unable to get reliable video for watching TV with the Dell 630i, Hauppauge HVR-1950 usb tuner, and dual ATI Radeon 4850 (512mb each) with Crossfire. The system was a Dell configuration bought new in July and I purchased the HVR-1950 from Dell a week later. I had intermittent use with Vista 64 home premium but the corruption is always present since moving to W7 Home premium 64bit. ...

I can't get the TV card working. I can't remember for sure, but I may have tried my 1st Hauppauge HVR-1600 card in the Atom and had the same problem then moved it to another machine where it worked. Now because I have a 2nd card, I want to try hard to get it working in openSUSE. Naturally, the card works perfectly in XPp32 on the same machine. So the Atom and its onboard graphis can run the...

I've tried to research this using Google, but I can't seem to find a perfectly clear answer. Is the Hauppauge HD PVR the only easy way to record HDTV on my computer from my digital cable? I have Time Warner digital cable and a Motorola set-top box. From what I've read, typical tv tuners can record HD from analog sources and unencrypted digital sources. Typical tv tuners can record SD ...

Why I will never buy another Hauppauge product ever again I recently dug out my old PVR-350 Tuner card because I wanted to convert some old VCR tapes to my computer. The original cd came with a version of WinTV. It wasn't the greatest software but it was free and made it very simple to record VCR tapes off the tuner card. So today I install the tuner card in an XP machine and go online ...

I am using a Hauppauge 950q USB TV tuner in Sabayon 5.1...or at least attempting to. In Ubuntu, the driver loads and I get /dev/video0 and tvtime works wonderfully (except for closed captioning, but that problem's on the Ubuntu forum). In Sabayon, it doesn't seem to want be mapped to /dev/video0. I downloaded and extracted the xc5000 firmware according to http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/H...

I just installed the Hauppauge WinTV 950Q on my XP machine. It is supposed to do Clear QAM. I hooked up the cable to the device, and it does not detect a single Digital QAM channel. Any one else have this problem or know what is happening?

Hello, I'm having a small issue... I have a Hauppauge HD capture card and I film vids from my Xbox360 fine. When I want a small portion of a video I use the Cut program on the software that came with the capture card called ArcSoft Total Media Studio. I cut the portion of the video that I don't want and I save the file to finish the edit. When I first capture the video it auto saves as MPG4 ...
