I have been looking for an answer for this error for a few days without any luck. I just loaded the Adobe Free Encoder 3 and the Flash Media Server (Free Version) on a Dell PowerEdge 1950 running Windows 2003 server standard edition with Service Pack 2. The computer has an Intel Pentium III Xeon 2.66GHz Quad core processor with 4GB RAM. I am using an Osprey 240 video capture card. ...

I am trying to run total screen recording on windows vista, however it says that i need to remove all hardware accelerators, I have looked in the display settings and the button is greyed out. This i believe is because i am using catalyst ati. I go onto the catalyst control centre, but i cannot find a way to remove the hardware accelerators. Help Please!!!

Guys, I was looking at some of the threads on the forum and suggested some workarounds for the crashers that many of us were facing. It looks like most of the crashers vanish or get minimised for some of us when the GPU Playback is disabled. This setting can be found in the "Edit>Preferences>General" Also the application not quitting issue is mostly seen with the NVIDIA drivers on...

I'm running Windows Xp as my operating system. Recent i had bought a new Cyberlink PowerDVD. Now the problem is that whenever I try to start a movie with Hardware Acceleration enabled there is a short access to the DVD and then PowerDVD freezes. Without hardware acceleration PowerDVD works fine. Power DVD always says "The current mode is not supported, DDraw overlay mode is recommended"....

My issue: the brush outlines do not show up fully (if at all) within Photoshop CS4 11.0.1. Turning off Hardware Acceleration at the OS level resolves this issue. However, 3DStudio Max does not display properly when Hardware Acceleration has been turned off. Because of our network restrictions, changing the Hardware Acceleration requires an administrator to login and make those changes - which...
How are PS CS4 users getting on with the hardware (GPU) acceleration feature that was introduced with this version of PS? I have PS CS4 installed on my HP laptop/tablet, which has an nVidia GeForce Go 6150 GPU, and on my desktop, which has an ATI x1550 PCI Express graphics card. PS CS4 recognises the GeForce Go 6150 GPU, but the performance is rubbish - with freehand drawing the plot lags ...

HD DVD playback on a PC is still relatively new, as is the format itself, so in terms of hardware acceleration we have to wait until ATI and nVidia iron out any issues with their drivers. I believe Nero and Arcsoft's HD players use PurevideoHD, but unsure whether the decoders are externally accessible.

No, no - our antivirus definitions are updated nightly. They are a little bit slower on deploying patches, but understandably - the office has hundreds of networked computers that they're trying to keep pretty much the same. Any change requires thorough testing to make sure it doesn't break anything else. So I can understand the reticense to do that. Anyway, all is well for now!...

kiwijunglist: arcsoft is supposed to offload to GPU. If you use Win7/Vista then you must set renderer to EVR to get hardware acceleration. (XP should use VRM9) if you want to try PDVD codec google "HD PACK 2.2" dowloaded the HD pack 2.2 and found that the arcsoft driver in the hd pack 2.2 is newer than my one come with the nova-t tv stick. the new driver works better the cpu usage ...

I myself use mpc-home cinema and it works fine for me. I built a htpc for my mother in law and would like for her to be able to use my blu-ray rips I made for em. Alot of people seem to like media center but Ive never really liked just for this reason. It would be handy for the family though cause I got them a MCE remote to use and its pretty worthless so far.

hi mike hardware acceleration options are normally located with the monitor and display settings and consists of a slider to lower or higher your hardware acceleration however the normal option located in performance >advanced like you say is greyed out so another way to disable/remove hardware acceleration is to use the excellent "Application Compatibility Toolkit" from ...

Did you fail to read the small print? PowerDVD disables Hardware acceleration automatically when BR or HD material are played. Blame the anal fools who crafted HDCP. Edit, after reading some more, it appears that cyberlink has to validate the drivers, otherwise acceleration cannot be enabled. Since 191.07 are far newer than 7.3, its unlikely to be validated ...
