I have had this hardtop on my car for probably 6 months. It is pretty good fitting replica I would say 8.5-9 out of 10. If you take the time to install it right it would be perfect. I also have security latches for the front and a 2 piece brackets for the back. Not oem hardware its what came with it from iirq. Paint is probably a 8.5-9 out of 10. It looks good and is ...

OK Guys, here's a "Hard" one, no pun intended, fought like the devil to get this hardtop off last spring when I bought this car. The lever that holds the secondary locking pin latch had gotten out of adjustment, had to go in through the trunk, rear panel removed to shove a long screwdriver in there to release the pin, finally got that thing off and set her aside. Had to readjust the linkage so ...

Winter is here and I want to attach the hardtop to my quad. The PO told me the attachment hardware has been lost. It is easy to attach at the front and rear, its just the middle j hook position that has me stumped. I cannot find a way to connect a j hook, or even a strong tie-wrap to the top (see attached pix) Am I missing more than just the hooks? [IMG] [/IMG]

I am going to purchase a Hardtop for my 99 E36 M3 convertible. The top is off of the same year M3 convertible. I asked him if he had the kit for the hardtop that makes the lights and defroster work, and he had no idea what I was talking about. I was under the impression that in order for the lights and rear defroster to work you need a kit. He said that all he does ...

This hardtop came with a 57 restored car I bought this summer. It was repainted red in the early 80's when the car was done. Basically it is all original, complete with weatherstripping, stainless, latches, pins, black headliner and plexi dated 59. It has sat in the basement ever since. I just put a complete new soft top on and have no use for this ...

As anyone ever tought about this, just covering the top completely with the color of your choice in vinyl, would that be expensive compared to a paint job?how much is a paintjob for a hardtop anyways, would it be cheaper if i sand it down myself thanks

Side Striker for 91 hardtop in 95 NA? Hey folks, I got the part numbers for the "old style" side striker plates for mounting a 90-91 hardtop in my 1995 miata, but I could only find them being sold on one website, which seems a little fishy to me( www.mazdastuff.com ). Is it possible to use the newer(?) kits sold on other sites? (i.e...

I'm having a hard time getting the hardtop mounts installed. I see where they need to go and the part that they replace but I guess I don't know the trick to getting access to it. When I try to unscrew the torx bolt the frame of the car is in the way. What else do I need to do to get access to it? Nothing? Hmm, it's probably easier to just take a dremel to ...

Anyone bought, have pictures of or seen the three piece hardtop offered by the Manx Club site? That is looking like my best option for getting a hard top. I am just wondering how well it works and what it looks like. I am guessing they just cut a regular hardtop into 3 pieces and you can glass it back together. Thanks, --louis
