I have an A356-T6 casting that was repair welded and stress relived per AMS 2771. The AMS spec sends you to the material spec which provides Brinell values for process verification coupons. I only have access to a Rockwell B hardness machine and can't find a conversion factor from Brinell to A356 casting. The AMS conversion spec provides Brinell to Rockwell B for Wrought aluminum but not ...

Hello All; I have a question concerning the hardness requirements for a ball bearing housing or shaft mount. Is there a minimum hardness for the shaft or housing to make sure that when a bearing is installed it receives the right amount of crush? Does the hardness matter?

Been reading Bristers' chapter on shot hardness. A question he does not readily answer is how to tell the hardness of a particular brand, or type of lead shot. He does say expect to pay more for harder lead shot, but still leaves Qs unanswered, especially since his book was published in 1976. Local wal mart has several diff types/prices of shells. Fed game loads. 3 1/4 dram eq., 1 oz. ...

I have a hardness tester purchased from Texas Knifemaker's supply years ago. While testing a batch last night, I saw where the needle would not return to zero on my first blade and would not work thereafter. It makes 3 revolutions and then back the other direction a bit to give you your reading. I got my reading and then pushed the weight bearing lever back and the needle never went back to zero....

Hi alls, somebody may explain me the difference between hardness and stiffness please? In the field of biomaterials, my biopolymer is 9.5 GPa stiff and 130 MPa hard! Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor English!

I have a test kit from Hagen and I performed a General Hardness test as per the instructions. The results were: >200 or Very Hard (actual numbers are 220). Would this explain some disturbing losses I've had over the past week? The symptoms varied with each fish, the result is the same; very quick (12 hrs) symptom to death! Any help would be greatly welcomed.

Watching a Photoshop tutorial and she could simply reduce the hardness of her brush in the brush drop down menu. I have PSE 7 and I cannot find this for the life of me. Also, she went to "Edit" "Fade Eraser" several times and I can't locate this in my edit menu either. I'm playing with applying textures and I really want to figure this out! Thanks so much!

I dunno if this is inappropriate, but i probably should know, but here's the thread. What is the hardest drug you have tried, and the hardest you would try? Feel free to be liberal in your definition of hardness. Right now I'm on both vicodin and dxm, and those are probably the most dangerous i've tried, except maybe alcohol and nicotine (which actually probably are worse) The ...

All I can find in my area is soapstone from Brazil. That's all the information the distributors have. They don't have a name for it, an indication of hardness, etc. It doesn't seem to be very popular in NC. The slabs I've seen look pretty nice, but if I just scratch my fingernail across, it left a white mark. And the top slab on display had been scratched by a child according to the ...

This one: link I've loaded the brushes into PSE, but when I place it into my 5.5 x 4.25 blank canvas, it prints all blurry. The hardness option will not come up in my brushes tool. This is the first time I've tried a brush, and I am discouraged. I have read many tutorials in the last couple of hours and am ready to give up on the entire digital kit. Thanks

Hello again everyone.... so I had read on the back of a bottle of hardness increaser somewhere along the line that I should wait overnight after adding pH up or down before adding Ca, or it could precipitate out of solution... I haven't seen it on the directions on any bottle I've had since, but I've been following this guideline anyway, as to avoid the possibility of this happening. So, ...

In his book Brister suggests testing hardness by squeezing it with a pair of pliers using only thumb and forefinger for sensitivity. Anyone ever try this?

I can tell you that if you are anywhere near the Greater toronto area you would more then likely find that most sativas would not be able to finish before the first frost unless we get lucky and it stays warm into nov not likely but most indicas will finish by the end of sept middle of oct so as you move south depending on when you expect the first frost can help to determine if your strain will ...
