I've created a nlite installation disk from my Win XP Home (SP2) Recovery CD-ROM (which I believe is actually an WinXP SP installation disk in disguise). When I boot from my OEM CD, the Windows Text Setup starts and after loading drivers etc I get the option to delete the existing partition etc. When I boot from my nlite CD, I get hard disk not found ...

Hello, I have "inherited" an Acer Travelmate 2700 laptop. Old machine but still functional. Drive C (17.5gb) is almost full and drive D (17.7 gb) is completely empty. I wonder if it is possible to either merge or substantially resize the drives in order to have more space in C. Grateful for any help. Best wishes, Blas.

I recently bought an external hard drive, and it supposed to be 320gb but it my computer says its only 300gb... also it has 1gb used but I guess that is from the backup software... so where did the other 20gb go?! 0.0 any ideas???

What are the quietest hard drives currently available? I am interested in the most silent ones around and they must be SATA.
