Recommendations for hand-held GPS Hey everyone, I'm thinking about getting a Garmin eTrex Vista something-er-other ...there's many variations. I'll be using it for hiking/backpacking. I've been reading some reviews on Amazon and the Bushnell Onix series wasn't a favorite of anyone. Anybody have experience with either of these or ...

Hi All, What would be the best way to make static shots appear to be hand-held? I've shot myself presenting to camera with the camera locked off on a tripod. I'd like to put a bit of subtle shake on the camera to make it appear hand-held, to make it a little more organic if you like. I guess what I'm looking for is the opposite of Smoothcam. Many thanks, Steve.

My girlfriend is buying me a handheld gps for a belated birthday gift. Any recomendations? I participated in a race from Marblehead to Provincetown this summer, and the skipper had a Garvin, not sure what kind. But I like the feature that gave you corrections in degrees to get back on your set course.

I've got a Garmin 60CSx, two of 'em actually, and it's one tough unit! I use it on the dirt bike all the time, takes quite a beating, and just keeps on working like clockwork. You can see it on the handlebars: The standard program doesn't have charts but does have the complete ICW and shows every marker in the country. When we picked up our boat we had to motor all day in ...

These eight hand-held, 360-degree panoramas were recently taken on the campus of Rice University, Hermann Park and the Mecom Fountain area. For me, November is a *good* month for panoramas, and I hope that you like them as much as I do. I have the L-358 and really like it. You may find that you will have to spend a little time to understand the features and how to use them. It is a little difficult at first. The 358 has a mode that just sits and waits for a flash to read. I usually use this mode. I just press the button on the meter and use the radio remote for my flashes in my hand to fire the flashes. If I am checking ...
