I am not sure if the system is actually freezing up at this point. It probably is. I just got this yesterday and I got it all set up. Salut, voilà la solution, va télécharger un windows xp sweet ou ultimate au service pack 3. Celui là intègre tous les pilotes de disque dur SATA, y compris les ordinateur portable. Parce que moi je possède un hp dv5000, j'avais le même probleme que toi; et je l'ai installé à mon laptop et ça a détécté. Alors bon courage!!!

After my computer is on for 15-20 minutes, the screen starts flickering and eventually goes black. I then turn it off for awhile and when I turn it on again, it works perfectlly fine for a short while and then the screen goes black and I cannot continue. I have since noticed when the screen starts flickering, the cord is extremely warm and eventually fades to black.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question, especially the part about the memory card slots being gone. Perhaps you could rephrase it and provide more detail as to exactly what the problem is.
