I really appreciate you answer for the following issue. I am working for my current employer on my OPT valid till Feb next year. But I have H-1b approval for another employer that will come into effect on October 1st this year. I am not real familiar with the F1 however if I am correct in my thought, the F-1 is a non resident status so I would venture to say no to the purchase/lending question on your boyfriend.
