I just realized that thus far I'm being sent to a GYN specialist who does bladder repair. My primary doc thinks I have endo on the bladder. No confirmation on that so far. My question to you is: Is the GYN specialist good enough for bladder repair? Should I insist on a referral to a Urologist, and/or to have a Urologist there to do the repair when I get the ...

Okay, slowly but surely I've been accepting of this diagnosis of hyperplasia with complex atypia (pre-cancerous) which requires a hysterectomy and the HysterSisters site has been awesome for info and support. I received a phone call from my GYN office the afternoon before Thanksgiving to tell me my surgery date has been changed from 12/9 to 12/16 so that the GYN ...

I just watched a youtube video of a girl that had reversed her PCOS from going on a raw food diet. COMPLETELY REVERSED IT! Now I was told by my ob/gyn that the only way to reverse this was to have a drastic weight loss. I was seriously thinking about trying this out. I wanted to know if anyone has tried this or know of anyone who has tried this??

For the past three cycles I have been on clomid. Starting at 50mg and increasing every cycle. My GYN would have me come in on cycle day 23-24 and do blood work to see if I had ovulated and/or was pregnant. Each month was a no. And the past two cycles she had be take progesterone for five days to restart my cycle. On my 150mg cycle she again told me that I had not ovulated (cd23) and gave me...

( I went to the Ob/Gyn today and the midwife asked if I got it yet and I told her no. She said they just arrived in the office within the hour. She HIGHLY recommended it. I was so against it for so long and now I was faced with having to make a split decision. So I went into the room and the Dr comes in and we talked. She said pregnant women are ending up in ICU and dieing from it. ...

So when my OB/gyn told me this she explained that it occurs in a certain percentage of women and it not sexually transmitted or anything. I got a little worried because she said she'll be putting me on IV anti biotics when I start labour. So being the nerd I am I googled it and read up on it. I read that my baby is at risk for developing infection after birth and POSSIBLY (very rarely) can die...

All my gyns have been female. The one I visited yesterday was harsh. I told her about my terrible cramps and she was like "Are you sure you have menstrual cramps? Are you sure you're not pregnant?" I was like "No." "When was the last time you had sex?" "I've never had sex." "Oh, you're a virgin! Best way to go." Blank freakin' stare. I wasn't amused.

MHP15---- you have an awesome GYN! You are in great hands! My gyn could have performed my sugery, but referred me to a gyn onc and I was so happy for that. Better to have them there, get anything suspicious out of there and be on your way! Here's to a speedy recovery and a wonderful holiday~!
