We have a large conservatory that is attatched to the gable roof of the bungalow at the rear of our property. Three of the gutters are accessable by ladders etc, but the fourth part which is connected to the low eaves of the bungalow looks rather difficult to clean. Does anyone have advice, other than to 'call in the specialists' ways of cleaning this side. Considering that ...

I have a set of Thule roof racks for a coupe. They work great. I don't have the little plastic covers or thule locks. I will however include a set of four paddlelocks that work just as well. The roof racks just hook in to the rain gutters. Asking $150 plus shipping. These are used so and are completely functional but there are marks on the load bars. These work with all the thule ...

We have been getting bigger snows in recent years, about 12" in the past week. It took me a couple years to finally get gutters hung on my house after I re-roofed it (You all know how it goes...the shoemaker's kids) On my house I have icicles forming behind my gutters in front of the fascia. Is the solution to clear the snow off the bottom part of the roof or is there something else I need to ...

A person or two here and several in Real World have commented on my ladder fall and how they're now taking extra precautions realizing that things don't always happen to the other guy. I'm real happy to see a neighbor hired a crew for his gutters as I know he's already had major health problems. I'd joked just yesterday with a dear friend that "I saved lives." But on a similar note, it's ...

Howdy, folks! I snapped a couple pics of this great tree the other day. It's right across from the campus where I work. Most of the fruit ends up in the street...and the gutters. The students kick them around and throw them at eachother. As you can see, there's just a bit of damage from the recent snows and low temps. This tree saw six inches of snow and temperatures as low as 20?F for many ...

I need to run power for some new lights outside my shop. I would like to use 14/2 UF-B "outdoor electircal wire". Does this type of wire need to be run in a conduit? I was hoping to run it about 30' along the bottom of my gutters, if I can. Alternatively, can this wire be buried without a conduit? If so, how deep must it be? As a different option, I might run THHN in conduit PVC conduit. Is ...
