Unbeaten middleweight Fernando Guerrero (17-0, 14 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over Jesse Nicklow (19-2-2, 7 KOs) on Friday night at the Grand cas!no Hinckley in Hinckley, Minnesota. Guerrero dropped Nicklow with a right hook early in the fourth. Nicklow fought back gamely, but Guerreroâs attack was too strong and referee Mark Nelson waved it off at 2:09. In a clash of unbeaten jr ...

By Bob Hough Chris John will stay at 126 pounds and not fight Robert Guerrero, according to Johnâs U.S. adviser Samson Lewkowiczâcontrary to Guerreroâs comments to Fightnews that the two would meet early in 2010. The Indonesian fighter is enjoying a vacation and is likely to fight again in April, Lewkowicz added. There were brief discussions with Golden Boy Promotions about John moving up...

With Matsui off to Anahiem, Vladimir Guerrero might be an excellent replacement as the Yankees DH. Unlike Matsui, Guerrero can still play some games in the outfield.

By Robert Hough Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero has told FightNews that the New Year will bring a serious challenge-fighting the undefeated Chris John (43-0-2, 22 KOs), the WBA Featherweight champion, who will step up to 130 pounds. Guerrero, who last month resolved a dispute between promoters Golden Boy Promotions and Goossen-Tutor Promotions and now fights for Golden Boy, said the fight will ...

I just saw that Vlad Guerrero is a type B free agent. Would the Mariners ever look in to signing him? I know he is getting up there in age and was hurt for a bit of last season but Guerrero has always killed the Mariners. I personally would rather have Guerrero for two years if he comes cheaper than signing someone like Bay. What do you all think? Could Guerrero play left or DH for the M's next...

FRI DEC 18 2009 11PM ET/PT from Minnesota. No fight articles yet, but when they are up I'll post them. This will be the last week of TV fights for this year, so get your fix because you'll have to wait until the end of January for the next round of decent fights.

At this stage Matsui and Guerrero production is just about the same. Vlad really wants to stay here, but Moreno likes the international attention that Matsui brings with him. Moreno's way of thinking is with Matsui the Angels will now have a stronger fan base overseas. Sad because Guerrero truely wants to be an Angel, but this signing will strickly be a buisness PR move. Sorry Vladimir ...

If the Orioles want to get to .500 next year, they should sign Vladimir Guerrero and Beltre from the FA market, trade young pitchers and Luke Scott for Roy Oswalt and plug away. If they want to be a playoff team in the next 2 years (my preference), they should trade for Gamel and Jason Donald and go to Free Agent pitchers, as they did (effectively) in picking up Millwood. One avenue that has...

The White Sox should see what Vladimir Guerrero is looking for now that the Angels have cut ties with him. It is true that his skills are declining, he can only dh and that he can't stay healthy for a full year. But he would kill at the cell and his market value has to be way down. The $16 million a year contract days are over! One concern is his age. He has to be closer to 40 than the 35 years...

Updating a previous report, Jayson Stark, of ESPN.com, reports the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are closing in on a one-year deal worth roughly $6.5 million with free-agent DH Hideki Matsui (Yankees). If the team signs Matsui, free-agent OF Vladimir Guerrero 's (Angels) time with the team will likely end. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/mlb
