I have been saying to myself all week that Thomas has rellysettled down in the past week as regards the feeding, well I think I spoke too soon! Last night was really really hard! He was pretty much awake and wanting to feed with only short little cat naps from 9 p.m. till 4 a.m. Thank God OH was there to help with him, I don't know if I would have got through it. Seriously. That map ins't even fun. People just barricade themselves in the underground rooms and don't come out. If nothing else put some time delayed teleports down in those rooms. [Edited on 11.28.2009 10:14 AM PST]

LO was going 9-12 hours overnight so max one feed then started less than 3 weeks ago we had 7 nights of 2 feeds overnight, we had 10 days of 8+ hours again and now the last 4 nights we are back to 2 feeds again. I have also noticed the last 2 days his feeds have been very noisy gulping loads etc. This time I put the first night down to him being cold and the second 2 down to some nappy ...

Hi mommies, My LO is 5 weeks old today.  Over the last week and a half he was cluster feeding like crazy during the day and eating about every 1.5 hours at night.  I read that it was probably the 3 week growth spurt and just let him do his thing.  At that time, I had no issues with engorgement, I was actually "soft" and wasn't sure what he was getting from me.   Well, now I am engorged and...

Okay my little boy will be 5 weeks old as of Dec. 1 and since our 1 monthish doctor appt will be on Monday I have a series of questions to keep me sane until I can ask the doc. 1. His schedule was 3.5 every 2 to 3 hours.  In the past few days, sometimes he will take 4 to 4.5 oz, rest for a few hours, then wake up and only want small amounts back to 3.5 oz every hourish or so.  Do I need make ...

Ok So I will be 35 weeks on Monday and my baby has been not so active the past couple of days.. When I get really worried I do the kick counts and I know he is fine.. I can get ten kicks in about 45 minutes - 1hr. But I also feel like he is being sleepy. Not his normal bouncy self. Do you think this can be a growth spurt? Has anyone else noticed a difference in the pattern of their babies ...

My LO has been eating every hour since Monday and I'm thinking it definitely has to be a gs, right? I'm okay with the every hour thing, but this afternoon he won’t stay latched. Hello ladies! I know this is going to sound like such a silly question, but I know that babies have a growth spurt around 6 weeks... but that's just a generalisation isn't it? It can happen earlier or later? My 5 week old bubba boy is feeding so much at the moment, I'm hoping it's his "6 week" growth spurt and not a lack of supply! I just can't seem to keep up with him!

How can you tell the difference? My LO is 8 weeks old and seems to want to nurse ALL DAY LONG! He takes about 1 to 2 hours naps and then wakes up to nurse. I nurse him, he falls asleep, and I burp him. Soon as I lay him down, he cries and wants to be put back on my breast. The past 3 or 4 nights, he has been sleeping with me in bed and does NOT want to let go of my breast. I know he is asleep ...

Hello! My son is almost 5 weeks old, and since last Wednesday he's been eating much more frequently than usual (every 1.5 - 2 hours, instead of his usual 3-4). And then in the last 2 days, he seems to want to eat around the clock, and is fussy when finished... last night he even pulled off and cried for the first time. He's not usually a terribly fussy baby, other than gas pains and such. Is...

For the past two nights Shannon has been a very awake baby. She usually sleeps through from about 9 or 9:30 to at least 5:30, usually later. Sunday night she slept from 8-11, got up, ate, went down at midnight again and woke up at 4, then at 8am for the day. I thought it was teething so I gave her some tylenol around midnight. Last night she slept from 8-10, was up until 2 (oy. vey), woke up at...

My LO has always been a pretty efficient eater, but for the last week or so his feeds have been taking much longer. The last few days he's also been eating every 2ish hours and last night he ate for 45 min(!) before bed (straight with no pulling off/distractions) and I still had to top him up with a few ounces from the freezer. He seems content and isn't waking more than usual at night, ...

Oi babycenter just ate my post, so let me try again. My main question is - can growth spurts manifest in different ways? Or is it always the up-all-night feeding every hour thing? During my daughter's 3 week growth spurt, it was the standard eat every hour of the night, but o nly eating for 5-10 minutes at a time. Now she is 6 weeks and I haven't had a repeat of that "all night feeding"...

What are the signs babies are going through a growth spurt? I think my 4 weeks old is...he is sleeping a lot during the day and night. And extra fussy when awake but as soon as I swaddle him he goes back to sleep. This hasn't been his usual routine until about 3 days ago...

Anyone else have a huge growth spurt this month. Whether it be in waist or in lbs? Just found that this month I completely rounded out and put on a lot of weight. I'm not eating a lot so I'm assuming it's the baby and water, can't figure out where it's coming from. Have a good day ladies
