Hi, I was looking into grad school requirements (I want to make sure I don't waste any time/make a study plan) and some places (such as UCSF Pharmacy School, though MANY of the places I've looked at do say the same) say I need 1 year of general chemistry + Lab. I'm pretty sure they mean 1 full year of lab. I already took General Chemistry, and at UCSC, they only have lab for Chem 1B and 1C, so ...

I can think of at least one negative thing about having a physics final exam worth 60% of the overall grade. Namely, you can perform well year-round only to recieve a bad case of test anxiety when it matters most. I just took such an exam, and am now almost certainly (>95% chance) going to fail the class. It is only a freshman physics class, but it will be on my ...

I am in my first semester of graduate studies, not in an M or PHD program, but rather a professional development program at the graduate level. its 1 extremely heavy class a semester (the workload of 4 undergrad courses).. so 2 months into the program I find out I am pregnant. Personally I am not too worried, since my 3rd (and final) semester ends before my due date, I just have to be sure to ...

I am currently a Sophomore attending Georgetown University majoring in English and Psychology. I have a 4.0 GPA in English, a 3.54 GPA in Psychology and an overall GPA of a 3.773 with all my course work. I was wondering how likely it would be for me to get into an Ivy League Grad. School. I am aiming to get my GPA to a 3.9 by the time I graduate from Georgetown to achieve Suma cumlade (highest ...

Is this feasible? It seems like it would be very difficult because of the different sets of criteria, like how grad schools want to see independent research, high GREs while law schools want to see high GPA, high LSATs. What does CC think?

I've been out of college since August 2008. I graduated from Case Western with a degree in Religious Studies. My GPA was a 3.77 and my major GPA was a 3.87. My husband moved to Toledo right after I received my degree and I had a hard time finding a job. I didn't want to do grad school in Toledo plus I just felt that I needed a break from school. I finally did manage to find a job as a secretary ...
Hi all, I graduated last year ('09) with a BA in something completely unrelated to planning. I'm currently working abroad for a year doing something equally unrelated. I'm pretty sure I want to become a planner (possibly transportation, specifically), and eventually get an MURP/MCP/Mwhatever, but I don't want to go back to school yet. The most relevant work experience I have is an ...
