Hey, I've been having trouble with google maps. Every time I open it, it loads the map, then after a few seconds of using it i get a data connection lost retrying error and it never gets connection back. Blackberry maps works fine as well as everything else on the phone. I have an unlocked 9530 on tmobile. I did all the service books and everything works fine, but google maps. i'm on .151 Any ...

When I choose a destination and start navigation, does the droid download all of the necessary map data so that it can guide me all the way even if I loose phone coverage?

I work in a warehouse and it made me wonder if there was a way to make a layer or personal map that I could add to google maps that would tell me where I was in the warehouse. This would require a much more zoomed in level of mapping, but I figured it was only limited by the map view. Does anyone have an idea if and how this might be possible? Thanks!

Tried to update but it keeps giving me an error that unable sign or something like that. I would uninstall so I can reinstall but it will not give me the option in the market or through the system settings. Any help?

Google Maps Navigation comes to Android 1.6 If you've got Android 1.6 (have a look in Settings->About Phone->Firmware version) and you're in the US then you can now get the new version of Google Maps, complete with the navigation system we saw launch in version 2.0 . Yeah I know you've got to add geo data to a video's details on YouTube to begin with. But how are YouTube videos then selected to appear on Google Maps? Checking out some areas recently on Google Maps doesn't really show a pattern, apart from videos by businesses being the most likely to get included. Some of the YouTube videos have loads of views and high ratings, others have very few....
