I'm reading Absolute Steve's guide and he mentions that the chest in Kalm was originally part of a side quest that resulted in Golem Materia. I'm curious: anyone know what this was all about? Why it was taken out? What Golem Materia did?

i checked on arreat summit, and i didn't find my answer there. so hopefully someone here can help me out. do the stats on the iron golem auto upgrade with every skill point put into the skill when an iron golem is already in play? i sure hope that made sense

My wizard is currently 10.3 and I solo almost exclusively. Yesterday, I went to run a quest in Delera's that's not part of the chain. I haven't played a necro in a while, so I was just wondering; if I summon a golem with +x clay golem skills then weapon swap (to something with obviously less + skills) will it remain as strong as when I initially casted it? And does this work for other "major" summons. When I say major I mean summoning shadows, valks etc... Thanks.
