Although small pockets of goldwaterism survive within the GOP (Ron Paul, Jeff Flake, a few other names come to mind). Maybe some Pragmatic Libertarian Party of future, comprising all the pro-freedom elements currently scattered around the political ...

The Ron Paul group over at GOP.com currently has 375 members but the Goldwater group is currently ranked 4th with only 56 members. Only 11 more Goldwater members and this group will be ranked 2nd right under the RP group. Everyone who joined the RP group should also consider the Goldwater group. Lets continue to send a message to the GOP that we want them to return to their libertarian/true ...

( We all know that RP and BG were big political allies, here is what BG had to say about the NWO in 1980! "This may cost me everything that I have, but I’ve got to get out and alert the American People. The Trilateral Commission represents a skillfully coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power, political, monetary, intellectual, and ECCLESIASTICAL....

It seems like this is the best atmosphere for him to be active, but I haven't seen ANYTHING about him lately. Where is he? I thought he was a possibility for Governor of Arizona. Mom would love to know about that 'cause she lived there. We seriously need this guy. We need a draft website or something. He's such a badass.

the Economist wrote: EARLIER this year Republicans seemed to be in the ascendant in Arizona, the state of Barry Goldwater, even as they struggled in much of the country. Not only had they retained control in both houses of the state legislature, but a fluke turned a Democratic governor into a Republican one when Janet Napolitano, who became Barack Obama’s homeland-security secretary, vacated ...

Edited on Mon Nov-09-09 04:20 PM by margotb822 In recent years we have seen angry minds at work mainly among extreme right-wingers, who have now demonstrated in the Goldwater movement how much political leverage can be got out of the animosities and passions of a small minority. narrow-mindedness qualifies you as a jerk, not a Conservative. I don't know what a conservative is anymore. To my way of thinking Barry Goldwater was what I think a conservative used to be but he wouldn't even be allowed in the movement these days. I only see the Dick Armys, Sarah Palins, Rush Limbaughs and Glenn Becks who have taken over and hijacked the word and the philosophy.
