i've been trying to locate a dojo that will teach me any one of of these martial arts , however i cant seem to find any IN denton, ive made searches for some in dallas but they all come up blank , if theres anyone out there who knows of one, please let me know EDIT* or should i go with judo since there's a club nearby?

I am not sure what you have done for your searches. I am not anywhere near you (I am in Tokyo, Japan), but often people overlook the obvious. So, my suggestions are obvious but maybe you have forgotten one... 1. The Yellow Pages (or local phone book) 2. Local Community/Sports Centers 3. Hi I just move to San Antonio Tx. and I can“t find a shito ryu dojo but I found one of goju ryu and I want to know which is the difference between this 2 styles. As a fellow karateka (Goju ryu) and beginier into Iaido, I can say without any doubt whatsoever that the principles and philosophies, are inherintley complimentary. Courtesy, respect, self control and discipline, which should be part of any traditional karatedo instruction as much as punches and kicks translate well to the sword. well, I won't go into a discussion on proper stances in goju-kai or goju-ryu, or shito-ryu. Being the only forms I am familiar with through friends made at tournaments. Not on a public forum devoted to a completley seperate martial art anyway. Still, I do find it odd that you would consider them wrong, though I think personally the lack is in the description.
