That reminds me of a book by an Indian activist in the seventies (when Native Americans just were called Indians), Vine Deloria Jr called Custer Died For Our Sins. In one chapter he describes Indian humor. One of the jokes I remember was that in the sixties there was a poll in which only 15% of the Indians wanted the US to leave Vietnam, the other 85 % wanted the US to leave America.
