Dear Ford Forum: I have not seen this post anywhere.. I did the search function... so I am putting it here. I replaced the starter and my kids for grins and giggles tried another battery to see if the car would turn over. The car does run as we were able to push it off. The car in question is a 1993 Ford Escort wagon with the 1.9 L engine. The car does not start via the starter ...

Bought the car, and it had a broken glove box. The actual latch is the part thats broken. Its open about an inch or so, so its freakin annoying at night with the light on inside it. It wont open, and it wont close. I need to get the glove box out to fix it or get a new latch but I can't get it open. I can take out the bottom bolts holding it on, but does no good cuz I cant actually get inside the...

The catch on the glovebox a ballbearing in a brass assembly and is useless. It has been replaced by velcro and this flies open under even modest acceleration. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Also the glove box itself is made of cardboard and masking tape - it is loose and again useless. What was the original marcos spec and are they any good/ obtainable?

Hi everyone, I am trying to replace the light in my glove box but cannot seem to find the easiest route of replacing this without cutting the plastic "bars" (I call it) that protect this bulb when you open the glove box. Any help/advice/tips is greatly appreciated, please provide feedback... Thanks,

I'm looking to hide 2 gauges in the glove box in my 86. I'd like to have a boost and oil pressure in there for when I'm driving it. Anyone make something up like this? I don't want to modify the glove box in anyway. Maybe some type of 2 gauge pod that would hold them in there? I was thinking maybe that gauge pod that would mount on the side of the speed o cluster they use to sell ...

Jim, I had a boost gauge & oil pressure gauge in my glove box for the very reason you want too. I just bought a couple cheap chrome gauge holders( the single ones) and mounted them at an angle in the glove box. It was easy to see at a glance, and when I closed the glove box, they were gone.
