I saw this in the newest CL and thought it looked awesome. My store didn't have Cornish hens, so I used a small chicken and cut it in half (thanks to the suggestions on the other thread I started!). The glaze has a ton of great flavor from the few ingredients, and the meat stays super moist and succulent. This was a pretty easy and impressive dinner to put together. I served it with ...

My mom went out on a limb and made a lemon cheesecake this morning- it's a cheesecake in a graham crust, with a lemon glaze topping. The glaze, unfortunately, did not set up at all and is now floating around on top of the cheesecake, ick-style. Does anyone have a recommended fix? I considered siphoning it off and whipping it with cream for a cream topping? Or will another boil set it up? The...

We picked this crock up recently. It is marked Hudson River Pottery with address, etc at the top. Am wondering if anyone can fill in the blanks regarding the salt glaze image, artist, the "L" inscribed on the bottom, age, etc? It measures about 9-1/2" tall and about 9" in diameter....All help is appreciated! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Seems like people have creative uses for bacon such as using it to make bacon jam, a bacon lamp, and bacon chocolate. Now they are using it to make bacon chocolate chip cookies with maple cinnamon glaze. Photo credits: http://www.joeydevilla.com/2007/12/09/baco...cinna mon-glaze/

I have decided to change all of my rubber framed windows to aluminum framed Diamond Sea Glaze windows. My two sliders are diamond sea glaze and they are the only windows that did not show any sign of leaking what so ever. I made some doughnuts the other day. When I made the glaze for them something went wrong. Granted I was trying to do it from memory but still! I ended up with something more like frosting. The glaze never hardened like it would when my mom made it. I used 3 cups of powdered sugar, 1 TBSP softened butter, 1/2 tsp of vanilla, and just enough milk to wet the mixture. It looked right but after ...

I am thinking of moving to Malta next year. I visited in October to gather info on cost of living, rented accomodation etc.. My problem seems to be finding rented accomodation where a small dog is welcome. Mention dogs in estate agents and their eyes glaze, is it really that difficult to find accomodation because I have a dog ? Before I finally decide on moving I need reassurance that I will ...
