money is tight and i wanted a more aggressive tone, so i put 2 glasspacks "one for each pipe" on my titan and didnt add anything after them. i think it sounds fine- i wish my mpg was better but im on 35s so i guess its my own doing. my question is if i add a y-pipe and run the pipe out the back using factory piping from my stock exhaust will it make my truck slower, mpg worse,...etc.

So I am thinking about replacing my resonators with Cherrybomb glasspacks to compliment the Flowmaster Delta 40's I have on it. The stock resonators are too big and quiet for my tastes but if I deleted them completely it would be to loud. So I guess my question is should I go with a 12" glasspack or an 18"? Has anyone tried this before? How does it sound?

Will the cherrybomb glasspacks sound loud on my fox, which has a catless h pipe? Will it compare to the 10 series flows or will they sound quieter? And do you guys know the size glasspack I would need? I have stock piping if it helps. Which will sound louder the xherrybomb glass packs or the cherrybomb turbo mufflers?

Exhaust
Started 2 months, 2 weeks ago (2009-10-05 22:01:00)  by budmur
I've recently bought a 99 expedition, and I want to increase/deepen the exhaust note. Will I have any problems with installing glasspacks in place of the factory muffler? Will I lose any low end torque or will the CEL come on? It has a superchip installed (one of the old-skool blue PROMS) - Will i have any issues with that? I have no other mods on the truck....

Post # 1 I'm getting a cherry bomb after the money sink that is christmas, I was wondering what size I should get. The 30/35in should fit perfectly without adding pipe, but I don't mind that if I can get a more aggressive sound. How does the length of the glasspack affect the sound? Also, quick question, some of the lights ...

So this is what I did. I cut out the suitcase muffler and installed twin glass packs. I left the resonators. It has a nice deeper idle. It has better sound at acceleration and has that wonderful pop when gearing down. There is no drone. I will be posting pics soon. I do have some sound clips. Oh and it cost $80. It took about 45 min. and was on the road again. For those that live in ...

wait...they still make glasspacks?? are you sure they just dont have a different muffler? i have never heard of anyone actually putting "Glasspacks" on an import. too extensive a mod. they'd have to cut the main exhaust from the manifold, cut out the stock anti-resonator, and then weld in the new "glass packed" muffler. imports dont create enough pressure to require this mod. an import ...
