bass amp for gigging I'm primarily a guitarist, so I have most of my money invested in guitar related equipment. That being said, a pretty good local band is looking for a bassist, and I am thinking of trying out, since I taught my current band's bass player everything he knows, so I've learned quite a bit since we started. The problem is ...

wannaBfishin' I personally would like to hear your thoughts on flounder gigging. It's considered mentally healthy to discuss troublesome issues and there seems to be unlimited roomon some of these issues. As for myself, after the location is made, it's like shooting ducks in a barrel. jdot

We went gigging last night, and although the winds were light, the flounder were very hard to find. We worked for over 6 hours only to find a handful of large fish. The high tide levels and strong incoming current seemed to scatter the fish out and muddy the water near deeper guts. However, we did manage to find a few large fish for our efforts, including the biggest flounder we have ever ...

This is probably a stupid quesiton but I will ask anyway. Other than the cold water splashing in my face, is this a good time of year to go gigging. I do it in the summers but never this time of year. Are the flounder laying up in the shallows are their way out to spawn or are they mainly in deeper water this time of year. I am sure this has been asked before but I did not see it. Thanks ...

hi guys I read chris's comments on the future of music business e.t.c. Since he is professional musician there is no reason to doubt that what he said is true. Do you think guys that the same rules that govern recording music apply also to gigging? I remember one post from long ago. Somebody wrote that getting jobs as a musician has to do with knowing certain people. Well, I think this ...

That's 40 years or so. The guys played without me and brought me my cut when I got out of the hospital. They shoveled my walks, took out my trash and thawed out my frozen plumbing. I've got a 5 lb weight restriction so they take my guitar out of it's case and put it on my lap, per my cardiologist's orders. My bass player got kicked off of the volunteer fire department for making ...

Would like to be able to get very clean tones for jazz and then be able to "pump it up" a little bit for rock. Also could someone help me out and explain the complete tonal differences between...
