Looking for in-flight pics of cackling geese on approach. Preferably a goose cutting wind or maple leafing. Looking for ideas for a mount so if you have one you don't mind sharing, feel free to pm it to me. Thanks!!

Training for 14 pound geese! From an early age, my Yellow lab Payton has been retrieving my morning paper. (My fat lazy butt just can't manage to walk the 30 feet in the dark and cold to fetch it for myself ...) Because of the size of the paper, Thanksgiving Day is her once yearly opportunity to train on retrieving that elusive...

The language in the regs reads as follows: "Please note: white geese are open during all hunt periods." It came up today while out hunting and the person at the check station could not help. The question is..... If the dusky quota in a county or area is met does it mean you can no longer hunt white geese in that county/area? Anyone know for sure? BTW.... Sorry if this has ...

I put my once-again modified steadymount to work with a telextender. With late November days like this, to boost spirits and build up Vitamin D reserves, Spring seems reachable. A gusting windstorm had blown away all the leaves from my sidewalks...

Anybody see the segment on channel 2 last night on goose hunting in Randlett? A guy took his two sons on a guided hunt, and the geese schooled them good. They scratched down three or four, but it looked like most birds flared badly. I felt bad for the guy, as he shelled out $250/gun. The calling didn't sound very good, either. That's saying something comoing from a guy who can't call worth a...

At least the geese are here Thank god the geese are in our fields because I haven't seen any ducks. Friday was a quick six snows in the morning and Tyler got a snow and speck after school. Took Saturday off and this morning was one of my best days with Tyler. Two limits of specks and some snows. Oh yeah, and my first blue in my ...

2nd period opener success! Basin geese, 1st goose/1st band! After scouting for a couple days I was able to pattern a good flock of birds in a harvested corn field that had been planted with a cover crop. The weather man was right on the money and we had scattered showers and a decent wind for most of the morning. We started the...
