I have a media cabinet with my TV, stereo, DVD, DVR and home computer networked together and all controlled by one remote. Due to extensive damage to the house I had to take the components apart and store them. Now I have the problem of getting everything back together and working on one remote again. I though about calling Geek Squad, but as soon as I googled them in I saw a storm of negative ...

Somebody poured some laundry detergent on my laptop yesterday. It wont boot now. I want to take it in to get a damage assessment. It sucks, it was my $800 baby and they killed it. What do?

Am I getting screwed by Geek Squad? A little back story: I purchased and paid for a dishwasher from Best Buy around the beginning of the month. It was delivered on the 21st, and then installed by me on the same day. The door that holds the soap won't open up during it's cycle, so I called Best Buy the same day. They told me Geek...
As they advertise themselves as a IT Company, you'd think they could do there own favicon, I think someone should design one and forward it onto them:) They havent even tried to do one! Any ideas?

Just have a question. Does tri-SLI work for XP or is it just a Vista/W7 thing? Sorry not too knowledgeable about these things. I have ran SLI before with XP, but not sure if XP will do the same for tri-SLI. I just do not want to buy W7 atm, waiting until it is more "mainstay" with SP's and stuff. Also I do not want to spend cash for 3 vidcards that might not be supported by XP for 3-way ...

I forgot to mention that about a week before that article about best buy encouraging employees not to push linux netbooks I was talking to a guy in the mac section and he ended up recommending me to use ubuntu. I hear all these horror stories but my best buy never really complied to them. Maybe it'll change since circuit city shut down last year but I guess I'm lucky(or tech savy enough for them ...
