I have an Explorer engine I'm putting in my coupe with a single plane Torker 289 intake. Previous owner of the intake told me it had been gasket matched to accept a Felpro 1250 gasket. Will the 1250 work fine between the intake and the stock Gt40 heads?

Ive searched the forum and it seems quite common to blow the head gasket on the lil duke.I would just appreciate any tips on the replacement and anything to ensure the problem wont happen again, besides revvin it past the moon. like what brand of gasket, torque specs and just general info. I have a haynes manual and the specs in it call for 13 FT.lbs of torque to the head bolts. Is this correct?...

Remove all Advertisements Just bought a 2004 XR400 that is in very good shape and runs great..... with the exception of a leak on the left side of the cylinder. I noticed it had some oil on the fins where the the gasket is in place, not a lot and it was obviously a slight amount of air when i racked the throttle. I have not checked the torque ...

Help please! problems after head gasket replaced! I have a 52 plate ZR 1.8 160bhp. About 2 weeks ago the had gasket blew and I had it replaced. Since then the car has performed poorly. It judders a lot at low speeds, has no go in it at all and is drinking petrol. The garage where I got the gasket done had the car back and checked...

This engine is strong, has blown head gasket from the usual cooling issues, was pulled out 2 years ago, I kept it for a rebuild ended up selling the car. from 1994 325i with vanos. Houston TX make me an offer can meet half way if you are not too far.

only run about 30 miles and hour.? The man we got it from said he was told a gasket was going out. What gasket could this be. It is a 6 cylinder engine less than 100,000 mile on the engine. But he told us he could not reach the gasket. Could it be the manifold gasket. No water in oil or oil in water.

H22A4 vs H22A1 gasket kits... I have a JDM closed deck engine so I was planning on getting the A1 gasket kit but noticed that the A4 gasket kit (top end) is like 60 bucks cheaper... does anyone know why?

Hello, I am about to replace my oil filter housing gasket. I read on here that a special bmw tool is required to remove the fan. is this correct? if so, where do i get the tool? is a 36 mm required? where do i get that. thanks,
