 BBC News.com (Northern Ireland) is covering the recent revelation on RTE that Gerry Adams father physically and mentally abused members of his family and also that Adams brother has a warrant issued by Gardai for his arrest in relation to possible sexual abuse of his own daughter. Small abuses of power are rife in policing, as often both the police and civilians are unclear as to exactly how far their powers and rights extend. Just look at the fiasco with confiscating cameras in the UK.

i think any jail time should mean automatic DNA taking. Id give DNA sample voluntarily if it was possible. It would be my proof that I didnt do any serious crimes.
