Hey. I'm resisting my GCSE Religious Studies before I start studying my A-level Science-based subjects, and I was wondering can someone offer general help as I've been focusing myself on Mathematics, ergo, I've not exactly managed to start the coursework as yet. Comments are warmly welcomed. Thanks.

Is anyone else teaching Drama GCSE with OCR? I am an NQT and I am really struggling to get my head around the working record process. Also does anyone have a programme of study for the two years? At the minute I am doing a practice 'Page to Stage' unit using Teechers. Can anyone give any advice on what they have done previously or where they are now? Would really appreciate some help....
Hello Critical Thinking types. Would you mind if I picked your brains? I'm exploring possible alternatives in year 11 for very bright students. I have considered the AS Level Critical Thinking course, but wondered if there were any GCSE level courses that people teach and think are successful and interesting. I'd love to hear any of your suggestions. Sam

In my 3rd year as Head of Music, and in the past two years GCSE uptake has been poor. (The numbers have fluctuated - upon my arrival in Years 10 and 11 there were respectively: 17 & 12; then in each Year 10, 19, then 8.) The dept had no real profile in the school when I arrived. Have attempted to address this with new schemes of work, new ICT, a wider range of extra-curricualr ...

Hello lovely people I'm looking for someone to talk to me about their experience of teaching GCSE Biology - how many hours you teach over the life of the course, how you prioritise the teaching, how you involve 'how science works'? I'm mid-assignment writing for the end of my post-16 PGCE and I'd like to be able to contrast my experince of FE teaching, in which we get 96ish hours ...

So I've been looking at the board-set assignments for AQA GCSE ICT. The database is rigourous enough but the spreadsheet and website tasks are laughable. The spreadsheet is ridiculously simple and would just about meet a Level 5 piece of work, while the website requires a couple of text links at that's about it. Honestly, this work can be (and has been) set for Year 7s and 8s. ...

Anybody got any views on this? Interested to know particularly how you'd grade it on a difficulty scale of 1 to 10 (1 = so easy that you heard gasps of delight from your students 10= they asked you afterwards if that was really the subject you taught them...)
