I have only seen the 2008 Funny Games, and since they are both shot-for-shot the same films, but with different actors, I see no point in watching the original. I go with Funny Games, because I thought Antichrist turned dull at times and the opening scene was the most self-indulgent and pretentious scene I have ever seen. http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000005/thread/1246079 50

Its really weird... I really enjoyed it the first time I sat down with my father to watch it, yet, the second time around, I was hitting the fast forward button (ha, the irony). I just found it tedious and too far drawn out... Maybe I just wasn't in the mood? Godzilla: What's that? Ultraman: What? Japan? Oh, you wouldn't be interested in that…

I'm thinking of putting it on my Christmas list, however I don't know which one to get. I've seen the original and remake; they're both equally as good in my opinion (but of course I need to pick one or the other). "You don't know what death is"-Sam Loomis (Halloween 2)

I appreciate the responses, but I'm still between a rock and a hard place. I've watched both the original and remake again today (they'll probably be taken offline tomorrow because of copyright issues), and like I already mentioned, they're equally as good as each other. For the original, I loved its creepy vibe and also I thought Susanne Lothar was better than Naoimi Watts. For the remake ...

I think what makes Funny Games great is it's almost like a challenge to watch, but once you watch it once I can see why you wouldn't want to watch it again. I really liked it though.

I love Michael Haneke's films (he is among the best directors working today... just see Cache and The White Ribbon alone for evidence of that)... I thought the original Funny Games was great, but the remake was just redundant... since it is basically the same film, its only value is that it gives you the option of watching the film with or without subtitles.

Different actors in a different language with more genuine intention. You can just feel it in the movie, trust me; it's better. I don't care to vote in this poll, in any case, since I haven't seen Antichrist nor do I care to. FYC: Joseph Gordon-Levitt - (500) Days of Summer.

Jimmy Fallon. The man bores me and at times really irritates me for a few reasons. Mostly because he tends to put random pauses in his sentences as if he's very unsure of himself. My sister keeps trying to convince me that he's really very funny, but he's yet to make me grin even a little.
